custom library - model 1930
The big tank is a great case for all variety of embellishments, expertly illustrated here by engraver Hugh Weaver. The rose, green, and yellow gold scroll overlays on the case are all hand fabricated and sculpted, as is the gold rope on the bezel framed by four bezel set tourmalines, which are also in the floral overlays. The piece is finished with a hand cut and stitched brown saddle leather strap and matching overlay buckle.
Gold Floral Motif
Solid gold is the perfect metal for the sculpted floral motif and sweeping deep linework accents of this beautiful Model 1930. The expert handwork has been patinated only slightly to reveal the design created by Christian DeCamillis. The mother of pearl dial and gold cathedral hands compliment the detailed handwork just right, as does the hand cut and stitched chocolate brown alligator strap.
One of our favorite fancy Western looks, this gorgeous sterling silver timepiece has been embellished with single point engraving in deep relief in a tight pattern to complement the pave' set diamonds on the bezel. The black mother of pearl dial and American alligator strap adds just the right amount of style and color to prove that the big guys can wear diamonds and pearls!
Banovich Shikar Tribal
Our collaboration with Wildlife Artist John Banovich has led to many wonderful and exciting pieces. This solid gold dial is bulino engraved by Christian Decamillis to precisely render John’s original artwork. Chris then designed and created the superbly sculpted tribal motif case to frame the deftly engraved dial. Accented by the white gold dial markers and cathedral style hands, and finished with a cognac American alligator strap.
Looking like the crossover of an acorn and a pineapple, the Ananas flower is a frequently used element in traditional Western engraving. The repeating floral motif around the bezel of this distinctively Western timepiece compliments the fine Western scrollwork on the rest of the sterling silver case. A unique filigree strap that has been hand tooled and stitched in a running western lace completes the look.
Our collaboration with Boston contemporary artist Seth B. Minkin has lead to many inspired contemporary creations. Seth and Jeffrey worked together with engraver Jim Blair to take the large scale canvas, downsize it and compose the gilled subjects in a row on this solid gold dial to make a unique, modern conversation piece. This one-of-a-kind art piece is cased in high polish sterling silver and finished with a black bison strap.
The Colt Series is a collection of titanium timepieces that are created by inlaying solid gold wire in intricate designs that are then “blued” in the same technique that was used on vintage firearms of the old West. Painstakingly dovetailing each cut, Ernie Lytle expertly hand engraves and inlays the case which then makes its way to Jeffrey’s bench where he torches it to bring the blue to the surface revealing Ernie’s design.
Western Bright Cut
Another great look for the big tank is contemporary Western bright cut engraving . The burnished graver tool creates polished cuts allowing light to catch the brilliant surface and make it sparkle and shine. The sheen of the white sterling silver metal against the black dial and white numbers is the perfect contrast. The hands are classic breguet style white with small luminous moons.
King of Beasts
In classic bulino style, this particular design shows two perfectly engraved views of the fierce male lion. The duo is rendered on the stainless steel dial by Leah Griffiths, who then fully carves the tank style case in a intricate English scroll motif. The fine handwork is complimented by the gold dial markers, breguet style hands, and winding crown. This exquisite timepiece is completed with a black American alligator strap.
