Fine English scroll is a technique practiced by master engravers all over the world today. It involves very clean swooping leaf patterns and other repetitions. Most commonly seen on fine shotguns, this technique is the most often copied and adapted style. As compared to the chisel work of Western single-point, this style of scroll has a more layered, continental look, with generally finer detail and a more delicate finish. Click image for description.
