Aviation has a long history in Montana. In the early 1900’s barnstormers demonstrated their daredevil aeronautics to small crowds gathered at impromptu airfields. Born from necessity during WWI, the aviator watch was simply a pocket watch fitted with wire lugs and strapped to the outside of a flight jacket.
