The earliest American watch cases were circular. Later, as styles changed and machining techniques improved, square lines came into favor. The rectangular design known to many as the “tank” was completely en vogue by 1930, and has remained a favorite ever since. The Model 1930 epitomizes the bold styling of this period of design.
